QR code deals that turn walk-ins into a customer list

One printed QR code at your counter, window or table. A customer scans it, saves the deal and joins your list. It is the free first step for every eCity business.

Why start with a QR deal

A business page tells people about you. A QR deal gets them to act, and tells you who they are. Someone who scans a code for "10% off today" and saves it has given you a name and a number without you asking for either, and has a reason to come back. That is the start of a customer list, which is what loyalty, referrals and campaigns run on.

It is also the free step: a business page and one QR deal cost nothing, with no card and no contract.

Where Fiji businesses put the code

Anywhere a customer stands still for ten seconds.

  • On the counter next to the till and the M-PAiSA QR
  • On café tables and takeaway bags
  • In the shop window, for people walking past after hours
  • On receipts, menus and price tags
  • On the tour bus, boat or welcome board
  • In a WhatsApp status or Facebook post, for people who are not in the shop

Deals that do a job

The best first deal is small, immediate and limited to the days you need help: a free upgrade on Tuesdays, a second item half price before 11am, a discount for first-time visitors. eCity lets you set the rule, the limit and the end date, and shows you how many were saved and how many were redeemed. Gamified deals such as spin-to-win and scratch cards are being built.

Questions, answered

Is the QR deal really free?
Yes. The business page and one QR deal are free for as long as you want, with no credit card and no contract. Paid steps only come when you add loyalty, referrals and campaigns.
Do customers need an app to scan it?
No. Every modern phone camera reads QR codes and the deal opens as a web page. It saves to the phone from there.
How do I print the QR code?
Download it from your merchant console as an image or a print-ready sheet and print it at any print shop or on an office printer. Your consultant can send you a ready-made counter card.
Is this the same as the M-PAiSA QR?
No. The M-PAiSA QR takes payment. The eCity QR gives a customer your deal and adds them to your list. Many counters have both side by side.
